A twentieth century garden on a superb site : the gardens at Plas Brondanw are not as famous as Sir Clough Williams-Ellis' village of Portmeirion, but they were his lifeblood. “It was for Brondanw’s sake that I worked and stinted, for its sake that I chiefly hoped to prosper".
As the gardens grew and matured the avenues extended outward into the fields with vistas up to the mountain peaks. The garden has many compartments, formed with yew hedging and topiary, and is ornamented with terraces, urns and statuary.
