Fishing the River Till on the beautiful Ford & Etal Estate waters in rural North Northumberland.
The River Till is England’s only tributary of the mighty River Tweed; as such it is governed by River Tweed fishing regulations. It is particularly well-known for its run of sea-trout from the spring to summer months, but grilse and salmon are also regularly taken, as are grayling during winter months.
Night fishing is available during the summer months, amidst this beautiful section of the river, in parts graded a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The empty, peaceful hills, rich wildlife and panoramic vistas of Northumberland National Park belie a turbulent past. Warring Scots and English, skirmishing tribes, cattle hustling (reiving) and whisky smuggling have all left traces on ancient routes through the Cheviot Hills. Walk in the footsteps of the Romans on Hadrian's Wall which slices through the southern edge of the national park and formed the northern boundary of their empire. Now an International Dark Sky Park and home to the world famous Kielder Water and Kielder Observatory, the Northumberland National Park affords some of the wildest and most unspoilt landscapes in England and a perfect place from which to study the sky at night.
