After 21 years at Garsington Manor, in 2011 Garsington Opera will relocate to the Wormsley Estate, owned by Mark Getty. It is located on the border between Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire in Stokenchurch, near High Wycombe and is the setting for philanthropist the late Sir Paul Getty's cricket ground.
Planning permission has been granted for a Japanese-style pavilion which will seat up to 600 people and will be erected for the festival every year in the deer park on the estate. The 2011 programme comprises three operas: Mozart's The Magic Flute; Rossini's Il Turco in Italia; and Vivaldi's La Verità in Cimento.
