A luxurious and spacious contemporary rural retreat nestling in ten acres of organic gardens and woodland in the heart of North Devon. With no near neighbours, all you can hear are the birds and the bees. No light pollution means dark or clearly moonlit nights and the brightest stars in all of England!
Set within wooded hills halfway between Exmoor and Dartmoor, Catsheys bed and breakfast nestles deep in the countryside within the parish of Romansleigh, around 5 miles south of the market town of South Molton. North Devon's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, surfing beaches, historic country houses, fabulous gardens and endless walking country are all close at hand. Catsheys is the ideal place for a truly refreshing country escape.
Rosie and David, both designers, moved from London 12 years ago and now work from home. David handmakes furniture to commission while Rosie runs the house, garden and a green wedding advice website called Green Union. Rosie grew up in Africa and together they have both travelled widely.

In house cuisine: Breakfast is a moveable feast of locally (organic if possible) sourced and home grown produce. Take the full English breakfast of bacon and sausages from our local farm shop, home laid eggs (any way you like) from our own hens, mushrooms and home grown tomatoes with home made bread or toast; or choose a part of it! We serve home made granola and muesli, fruit from the garden when in season, or fruit compotes, juices, organic yoghurt, home made jam and marmalade, real coffee and teas of your choice.
Eating out: Devon is becoming a foodie's paradise as more and more recognised chefs up sticks and move to an area renowned for the quality of its produce and the dedication of its food growers. Cuisine ranges from Michelin starred establishments to the humble fish and chip shop, and don't forget Devon is the home of the cream tea! We can recommend places to eat and are happy to book you a table. Booking ahead is essential if food is an important part of your holiday.
