B&B Old England is located close to the Presidential Estate of Castelporziano, which covers59 sq km (5,892 hectares) and includes several historic hunting grounds likeTrafusa, Trafusina, Riserve Nuove and Capocotta. Castelporziano is home to the last of the vast forests and woods that once, in ancient times, extended along the whole coast of Latium.
Built in 1998, B&B Old England is a country home in a pretty garden lcoated on the southern slopes of Rome in the Castel Porziano area, just half an hour by car (traffic permitting) from the heart of the city centre, and just 16km from Leonardo da Vinci Airport. . Close to the seaside and the pine forests of Castelfusano, B&B Old England is a perfect base from which to explore the beauty of the Roman Empire and all its glories.
Home to Paulo, Catia and their daughter, Moira, the Conti family built their home in Castel Porziano (otherwise known as Infernetto) as a country house within easy reach of the historic city of Rome but in close proximity to nature and the seaside.
Catia is a passionate cook, dedicated to reviving some of the delicious ancient recipes of Rome to create fabulous Italian food. Her husband, Paulo is a businessman. Having trained in London, their daughter, Moira, is passionate about theatre and photography. Her passion for all things English is how all three of the bedrooms came to be named after the greats of English literature.
