Perfectly situated, high in the hills, near the border between Liguria and Tuscany, visitors to Casa Colleverde can make the most of both regions with not only the Cinque Terre, Versilia, Genoa, Florence, Pisa and Lucca on the door step; but also the less well known areas of the Lunigiana and Garfagnana. There are plenty of opportunities for sightseeing or other activities from golf to horse-riding; and even cookery classes can be arranged. Built in the 1970s, Casa Colleverde has been transformed into a contemporary, light-filled home with views to die for and an exquisite infinity pool to relax by.
An English expat Italophile with a particular interest in Italian food, cooking and design, Simon has been living in Italy for over 10 years. A landscape designer, he originally came to Italy (Arezzo) to set up and run a boutique hotel and villa rental business in Tuscany 12 years ago with some friends. The hotel and villa rental business is still going strong whilst Simon is now running this fabulous boutique bed and breakfast on the coast in Liguria with his partner, Carmelo.
Born in the coastal town of Sciacca, Carmelo studied in Restuarant/Hotel School in Sicily and then left to work in Bologna for 10 years. Carmelo brings his own warm Sicilian personality to Casa Colleverde where his Sicilan charm and broken English make guests feel relaxed and at home.
